Axonometric Drawing: The Burns Night pop-up event hall

1. THE ENTERTAINMENT STARTS WITH TRADITIONAL SCOTTISH DANCING

Traditionally the entertainment starts with traditional Scottish dancing serenaded by a ceilidh band, Featuring a caller backed up by musicians. A ceilidh performance involves teaching different dances to the audience for each song. Circle dances, long-way sets, squares, waltzes - plenty to choose from, and everyone gets to make a new partner through every dance.

2. TOAST TO THE HAGGIS

Prompted by the speaker, the audience joins the toast to the haggis. Raise a glass and shout: The haggis! Then it is time to serve the main course with its traditional companions, neeps and tatties.

3. PIPING IN THE HAGGIS

Guests should generally stand to welcome the dinner’s star attraction, which should be delivered on a silver platter by a procession comprising the chef, the piper and the person who will address the Haggis. A whisky-bearer should also arrive to ensure the toasts are well lubricated.

4. PIPER IN THE CUBE

All pipers should prepare an event to play in the cubes to welcome guests and address the Haggis. The pipers play until the high table is ready to be seated, at which point a round of applause is due. The cube is made of stainless steel to spread a wave of sound. The entire building becomes a Scottish instrument to enhance the quality of the Burns Night event.
